The Colby Community College volleyball team bounced back after their only loss of the season with a road victory at Garden City Wednesday night. CCC handled the Broncbusters in three sets, 25-16, 25-12 and 25-20.
The 18th-ranked Trojans, who saw their 15-game winning streak end Monday at the hands of No. 6 Seward County, got a double-double from Alex Merle with 11 kills and 11 digs. Nina Gorgijevska had 14 digs while Julie Archer added 10 kills.
Colby improves to 16-1 overall with a 7-1 Jayhawk Conference record. Friday the Trojans head to Dodge City for a 6:30 p.m. start with the Conquistadors (4-16, 1-7).
