Garden City, KS-Garden City's offense had the breakout game that Corey Bryant has been looking for.
Jessica Newton scored three more goals to bring her season total to 17, Charlotte Sayer added two, and the Broncbusters blew past Trinidad State, 15-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Garden City, which snapped an eight-game winless streak to improve to 4-9-1 overall, scored three times in the first 22 minutes including Newton's 20-yard blast. The sophomore added her second goal in the 37thminute, Emma Casenave and Clemence Raoult each added a pair of unassisted goals, and Garden City was up 6-0 at the half.
Smila Akesson setup Ariel Martinez for a score two minutes into the second half, Casenave added her second goal of the match in the 49th minute, and the route was officially on.
Newton, who is tied for second in the nation in goals, scored again in the 60th minute to make it 10-0.
Incredibly, Garden City outshot the Trojans, 61-1. They tallied 34 shots in the second half.
