
The Kansas City Kansas Community College softball team fell to the Neosho County Community College Panthers with scores of 9-8 and 12-0 April 17. In game one, the Blue Devils entered the seventh inning leading 8-3 but allowed five runs to go into extra innings. The very next inning, the Panthers were able to score one run to take the win.
In the first game, Sidney Sullivan, Sydney Becker and Kylie Vandervoort all had one home run and combined for five RBIs. Kaitlyn Cowan went 3-5 from the plate while knocking in two RBIs. She also had two doubles. On top of her home run, Becker walked three times and scored three times that she was on base.
Alyssa Droge pitched 37 batters, allowing nine runs (eight earned) on 13 hits. She recorded five strikeouts, two walks and gave up three home runs.
In game two, KCKCC recorded just two hits with three errors. The two hits came from Victoria England and Sara Portela. Kinlei Boley was walked once and struck out once.
Hanna Acree threw for the first four innings and allowed seven runs (three earned) from five hits. She walked two and struck out one Panther batter. Boley didn't record a single out and allowed five runs from four hits and two walks.
