The Central Community College men's soccer team lost at Pratt (Kan.) Community College, 3-2, on Saturday.
The Beavers scored all three of their goals in the first half, while CCC's Ivan Lopez scored five minutes into the contest with Fenando Alves on the assist. Lopez scored an unassisted goal in the 80th minute to cut into the Pratt lead, 3-2. However, time ran out and the Beavers claimed the victory.
"The boys played hard in a really fast-paced, back-and-forth game," said CCC head coach Hawken Hanna. "Each team had a lot of opportunities and space to attack. Overall, it was one of our better showings this year. If we continue with the things we did and make a few adjustments, we will have a strong second half of the season."
With the loss, the Raiders are 3-4 on the season.
Up next, CCC will travel to Northeastern (Colo.) Junior College on Wednesday for a 2:30 p.m. contest. The Raiders were scheduled to play at Western Nebraska Community College on Tuesday, but game has been cancelled.
