The Kansas City Kansas Community College women's soccer team (2-0) defeated the Highland Community College Scotties (0-2), 14-0 Aug. 24 at the Kansas City Kansas Community College Soccer Field. The Blue Devil women's soccer program has never finished a game with double digit goals in the past 10 seasons.

There were 11 goals in the first half alone of Saturday night's game. Laura Ginguene started the scoring off with a free kick from distance in the fifth minute. Amelie Max finished a cross from Cora Ellermann in the eighth minute to double the lead. Sierra Montez recorded her second multi-goal game in her KCKCC career by slotting in three goals in the 13^th, 16^th and 24^th minutes. Jaycee Schumann netted her first goal on the season just one minute after Montez's last goal in the 24^th minute. Both Kiara Carr, Lillian Chronister, Ariana Smith and Ivori Jones recorded their first goal as a Blue Devil in the 27^th, 37^th, 39^th and 42^nd minute to wrap up the 11-goal half. After a full year in her KCKCC uniform, Trinity Wheeler scored her first goal in the 56^th minute, followed by a second goal from Jones from just inside the box in the 63^rd minute. Jennifer Vasquez would finish up the scoring in the 82nd minute. Both Maria Heuman and Lena Wasow played a half each in the goal and kept a clean sheet.

The next game for the Blue Devils women's soccer team is a conference opener against the Seward County Community College Saints at 6 p.m. Aug. 28 at Seward County Community College in Liberal, Kan.
