CHEYENNE, WY - The Golden Eagles (4-2) opened the McCook Invitational with a 3-0 win over Garden City (5-7) on Friday afternoon.

Shae Halls (Carpenter, Wyo.) recorded 23 digs, tying a career-high.

LCCC opened the match with a 25-18 win over the Broncbusters before holding off Garden City in the second set, 25-23.

The Golden Eagles trailed midway through the third set before taking command and winning the set 25-19 to win the match, 3-0.

Rigan McInerney (Gillette, Wyo.) recorded a double-double, tallying 19 kills and 11 digs.

The Golden Eagles will play Southeast (NE) this afternoon at 4:00 pm MST.
