Suied, Diaz-Lopez break school records at WSU
With both the Cowley College men and women’s outdoor track and field teams ranked in the top-10, the Tiger track and field teams got record breaking performances at the Wichita State University K.T. Woodman Classic.
With both the Cowley College men and women's outdoor track and field teams ranked in the top-10, the Tiger track and field teams got record breaking performances at the Wichita State University K.T. Woodman Classic. While, several other Tiger runners competed at the Coffeyville Invite.
On Saturday, coach Cameron Rieth took a few distance runners to compete at Wichita State University. Sophomore Lubna Suied broke the school record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:36.18. Tiger men's sophomore Adrian Diaz-Lopez also broke the school record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 14:20.80.
At Coffeyville, sophomore Zinara Lesley hit the national qualifying time in the 1,500 meter run. On the men's side, freshman Amos Pkiach hit the national qualifying time in the 5,000-meter run, Matt Higdon hit the national qualifying mark in the hammer throw, while freshmen Xoel Rodriguez-Abad and Santiago Nunez each hit national qualifying times in the 3,000-meter steeplechase,
