Track & Field Compete at Broncbuster Invite & Emporia State Relays
Fort Hays Tech Northwest Track & Field's short-distance runners competed at the Broncbuster Invite, while the middle and long-distance runners competed at the Emporia State Relays over the weekend.
Broncbuster Invite:
In the 100m dash, Isaac Bisaso finished 13th with a time of 12.28 seconds, and Blake Luna finished 14th with a time of 12.88 seconds.
In the 400m dash, Noah Mitchell placed 6th with a time of 56.75 seconds.
In shot put, Justin Peretz placed 12th with a throw of 9.42 meters.
Emporia State Relays:
In the women's 800m run, Carolyne Jepkosgei finished 24th with a time of 2:33.34.
In the women's 1500m, Carolyne Jepkosgi finished 21st with a time of 5:15.13.
In the men's 1500m, Kamogelo Thipe placed 11th with a time of 4:07.01. Salisu Habibu placed 14th with a time of 4:07.67. Lucky Maila finished 22nd with a time of 4:13.26. Ronin Rybnika finished 34th with a time of 4:21.25.
In the 3000m Steeplechase, Daniel Cornelissen placed 8th with a time of 11:06.79.
For Track & Fields' next competition, the short-distance runners will be traveling to the Jerry Quiller Classic in Boulder, Colorado, while the middle and long-distance runners will be back in Emporia for the Midwest Classic.
