Baseball Falls Short At KCKCC

North Central Missouri College saw standout performances from several key players despite a challenging outing they ended up losing at KCKCC 11-7. Julio Guerrero led the offensive charge with a home run and five total bases, while Alejandro Paz contributed a double, two total bases, and a sacrifice fly. Jordi Ventura, Wilmer Jimenez, and Eduardo Chourio each added two total bases of their own, helping to generate scoring opportunities. Chase Maddox showcased resilience at the plate, reaching base three times after being hit by pitches. On the mound, Hikaru Mikami shouldered the bulk of the pitching load, throwing 87 pitches over 25 batters faced. Defensively, however, the Pirates struggled, committing six errors—two each from Luis Rivas and Eduardo Chourio—which ultimately proved costly in a game that slipped away despite their offensive efforts.

Next up for the Pirates (26-7) will be a home region series with Hesston College.  Thursday a single 9-inning game will be held at Burleigh Grimes Field with a noon first pitch.  Friday will see a doubleheader starting at 11:00am.
