Softball Garners Key Victories in Temple Tournament

The TJC women's softball team defeated two teams ranked in the top 20 in the NJCAA preseason poll, and another team receiving votes for the poll today in action in Temple, TX. TJC started the day with a 5-3 win over San Jacinto, who was just outside of the top 20 preseason poll. They then defeated Iowa Western 5-3, who was preseason #19. The Apaches capped off the day with a 4-2 win over traditional softball power Butler Community College (KS), who is ranked #10 in the preseason poll. Tomorrow, TJC will square off with NEO, who received votes for the poll, and traditional Region 14 power Blinn.
