
The Kansas City Kansas Community College men's soccer team (4-1-2) beat the Seward County Community College Saints (5-4-3), 2-0 Sep. 28 at the KCKCC Soccer Field. The Blue Devils and Saints first faced off Aug. 24 at Seward County, and the game ended in a scoreless draw. This past Saturday night, the Blue Devils were able to get the best of the Saints while not letting up a single goal. The game went into halftime tied up at 0-0 and then just 14 minutes into the second half, Noah Conover was able to kick it passed the Saints goalkeeper to make it 1-0 in favor of the Blue Devils. It took just one minute later to double the lead as David Mayamona was able to slip a ball by the Saints defense into Mario Santoro's feet and put it away. Defensively, the Blue Devils let up just four shots on goal, and they were all saved by goalkeeper Pierre-Jean Dannenmuller. That marks his fourth shutout for the season. The next game for the Blue Devils men's soccer team is against Dodge City Community College at 1 p.m. Oct. 5 at the KCKCC Soccer Field.
