Colby Community College Trojans had a hard Battle Against Seward County Community College

Colby, KAN -Colby Community College Trojans faced a challenging opponent in Seward County Community College on April 10, 2025. In a high-scoring affair, the Trojans finished with a 14-10 defeat, a 19-16, 12-2 win, and a 27-7 loss. The Trojans are now 23-18 overall and are now 4th in the KJCC with an 11-9 conference record.

 April 10, 2025 - Colby vs Seward County - Game 1 recap

The game began with Seward County scoring a run in the first inning. However, the Trojans responded emphatically in the second inning, putting up seven runs to take a commanding lead. Key contributions came from Isaac Padilla and Turner Zdunich, both hitting home runs that energized the team.

Colby added another run in the third inning, maintaining pressure on Seward County's pitchers. Charlie Marshak was instrumental in this effort, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs, demonstrating his prowess at the plate. On April 10, 2025, Colby Community College engaged in a close game against Seward County Community College, ultimately falling short with a final score of 19-16. The game took place in Colby, Kansas.

Colby Community College started with a bang, scoring an impressive seven runs in the first inning, setting the tone. On April 12, 2025, Colby Community College faced off against Seward County Community College in a decisive baseball match held in Liberal, KS. Colby Community College showcased a dominant performance, securing a resounding 12-2 victory over Seward Community College.

The game commenced with a scoreless first inning from both sides, but Colby quickly found their rhythm in the second inning. The offensive surge began with a two-run inning, setting the tone. Colby continued to pile on the pressure in the third inning, adding four more runs to their tally.

I. Padilla was a standout player, going 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, and three RBIs, and showing consistency at the plate. C. Langford also made significant contributions, hitting 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs,  A. Vulcano added to the scoreboard with a home run and an RBI, further extending Colby's lead. G. Galenza had an impressive outing, going 3-for-4 and scoring three runs, consistently getting on base and setting up scoring opportunities for his teammates.

On the mound, T. Smith delivered a solid performance, keeping Seward County's hitters at bay and securing his sixth win with a record of 6-1.

On April 12, 2025, Colby Community College faced off against Seward County Community College in Liberal, KS, for a Final game. Despite a valiant effort, Colby fell short, falling 27-7.

Colby started strong, taking an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by G. Galenza's home run. However, Seward responded with an eight-run rally in the bottom of the first.

Colby's offense was spearheaded by T. Zdunich, who had an impressive performance, going 4-for-4 with a double, a home run, and four RBIs. G. Galenza also contributed significantly, not only with his home run but also by scoring two runs. Meanwhile, K. Cassidy added to the scoreboard with an RBI double.
