EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler baseball lost a midweek matchup, 28-16, to the Kansas City Kansas Community College Blue Devils on Tuesday afternoon at McDonald Stadium.
The 28 runs from the Blue Devils (19-13) was the most allowed by Butler (17-14) all season as KCK pounded out 27 hits on the windy afternoon in El Dorado. Butler's offense also produced with 16 runs on 18 hits.
The Grizzlies used 11 pitchers on the afternoon with Connor Clark and Cooper Annin being the only two to not allow a run. Butler plated five runs in the third and six runs in the seventh while KCK had five multi-run innings capped by an 11-run eighth inning.
Jaden Rose, Cooper Rasmussen, Holden Lough, Brandt Beeby and Gunnar Lewis all had multi-hit games for Butler with Rasmussen driving in a team-high four runs.
KCK had six finish with multiple hits highlighted by Braden Horn's seven RBI and Cade Parry's 5-6 performance at the plate
