Campbell Wins 800m at Kansas Relays, Grizzlies Compete in Lawrence, Salina
Butler Track and Field Runs in Final Regular Season Outdoor Action
LAWRENCE, Kan. – Butler track and field completed its final tune-up of the 2025 outdoor season over the weekend as they sent student-athletes to both the Kansas Relays in Lawrence and the Coyote Challenge in Salina.
The highlight of the Kansas Relays for the Grizzlies was on the men's side as Ainsley Campbell won the men's 800m running a time of 1:51.60. Kamohelo Ramatsebe had a pair of second place finishes in the 1500m (3:57.38) and the men's 3000m steeplechase (9:16.80). Alexa Marshall took second in the women's 3000m steeplechase on the women's side (12:30.15).
At the Coyote Challenge on Friday, Sfiso Makolomakwa finished second in the men's 5000m (14:50.62). Cesar Pavia finished third in the men's 800m (1:54.49).
Butler is off this coming weekend and their next action comes on May 1st through May 3rd at Coffeyville for the Region 6 Outdoor Championships.
