The freshman scored twice, Garden City's defense limited Southwestern to just two shots, and the Broncbusters improved to 2-0 with a 6-0 victory Sunday night.
Garden City opened the scoring midway through the opening period when Cristobal Sanchez squeezed a pass through a pair of defenders to Haru Toshikuni, who finished with a left-footed boot to make it 1-0.
Later in the half, William Jackson setup Dinis Ribeiro, who raced ahead of the defense for a 2-0 edge. Mbacaza then scored his first goal in the final minute of the first half before adding another score 13 minutes into the final period when he stole the ball away from a defender and sent a line drive past the keeper.
Andrei Filho scored in the 70th minute off an assist from Jorge De La Vibora, and Sanchez capped the night with his second assist, finding Jean Poul Cruvelier, who slid one into the right corner of the net for a 6-0 l ead.
The Broncbusters outshot Southwestern 23-2. Charlie Prtenjaca had one save.
