The Central Community College men's soccer team and Allen County (Kan.) Community College battled to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in Iola.
The Red Devils scored first when Patrick Alouidor found the back of the net off the assist of Ayoup Bader in the 39th minute for a 1-0 lead. The Raiders answered back 20 minutes later when Tobias Sereinig scored an unassisted goal to tie the contest, 1-1. Neither team could score over the final 30 minutes of the contest and the 1-1 deadlock was the final score.
"It was close match with both teams having clear chances at goal," said CCC head coach Luis Pulido. "The result still has us fighting for a playoff spot."
CCC stays on the road for a Saturday afternoon contest at Hesston College. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
