Greyhound Comeback Falls Short to Neosho County CC

The Fort Scott Community College women's basketball team fell to Neosho County Community College by the score of 88-75 on Wednesday evening.  The Hounds had a difficult time against the pressure defense of Neosho, turning the ball over 36 times on the night.  The Panthers came up with an amazing 24 steals in the game.  FSCC shot 49% from the field compared to NCCC's 34%, but the amount of turnovers were too much to overcome.

The Neosho women are known for shooting a large amount of three-point baskets, and this game was no different.  The Panthers attempted 45 threes during the game, hitting 8 (18%).  The Hounds fell behind early and couldn't come all the way back, despite winning the second half 44-32.  Leading the way for FSCC was freshman JT Brown who score 24 points while collecting 12 rebounds.  Fellow freshman Kintaeja Ling and Shayla Golden both pitched in with 15 points.  The Panthers were led by Washington who had 17.

The Hounds will travel to Parsons to take on Labette this Saturday at 2:00pm.
