The Hounds opened up the spring semester at home against North Central Missouri College on Wednesday.  FSCC was defeated by the Pirates by the score of 69-55.  NCMC was a stellar 47% from the field on the game, including 4/9 from 3 point range.  The Hounds were outrebounded 38-33.

With many players not suiting up as they get back into playing shape after the break, Coach Alexander was happy with the overall hustle from the team.  "We came out and played them strong.  I thought the girls did a great job competing and we will get better from this game."

Leading the way for the Hounds was freshman Shayla Golden from Little Rock, AR, who scored 13 points and collected 5 rebounds.  Jada Williams led FSCC in assists with 4.  NCMC had four players in double figures, led by Ford with 16.

The loss drops the Hounds overall record to 3-9.  The team will take a week to prepare for the opening of conference play on 1/12 at Highland Community College.
