Cowley has four national qualifiers at Tiger Invite
Holding the 18th annual Tiger Invite Saturday in Arkansas City, the Cowley College men and women’s outdoor track and field teams had four national qualifiers.

The Lady Tigers had national qualifying performances from sophomores Lubna Suied and Zinara Lesley in the 1,500-meter run, while fellow sophomore Kayla Noear hit the national qualifying mark in the discus. Freshman Kassidy Blann also performed well as she placed first in the pole vault.
The Tiger men were led by sophomore Matt Higdon placing third in the hammer throw with a national qualifying mark of 166-9, while Cowley sophomore Jack Mull won the men's pole vault.
The Cowley track and field teams will host the 17th annual Tiger Heptathlon/Decathlon on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday's competition will start at 3 p.m. and Thursday's meet will start at 9:30 a.m.
