The HCC Scottie Women's basketball team took on the Missouri Valley JV team from Marshall, Missouri on Thursday night and had no trouble with the Vikings as the Scottie went on to a 101-38 victory.

Highland was led in scoring by freshman Mariane Carvalho who had 23 points on the night. There were four other Scotties who scored in double digits; Szonja Vukov had 15, Sidney Blackburn had 12, Imani Simmons had 13, and Ashlyn McDonald with 12. The team trumped the Vikings in steals 21 to 5. The Scotties shared the ball throughout the game totaling 16 assists while the Vikings only had 3.

The rebounding game for the Scotties looked very good as they pulled down 15 offensive and 17 defensive rebounds on the night and out rebounding the Vikings 32 to 22.

The Scotties are now 5-0 on the season and will travel to Marshall, Missouri on Monday, November 14 to play Missouri Valley JV once again at their place at 7:00pm.
