Freshman forward Shogo Haraikawa scored three goals in his Tiger debut as the Cowley College men's soccer team cruised to an 11-0 win over an overmatched Friends University JV squad Monday night in the squad's season-opener played at the Mark A. Phillips Athletic Complex.
Haraikawa scored all three goals in the opening half and was one of nine Tigers to score in the victory. Cowley led 9-0 at the end of the first half and got second-half goals from Joao Lopes and Nicholas Kays to cap the 11-0 victory.
Carlos Noboa and Sora Funakoshi added a goal and two assists, while Adriano Melo also chipped in with a pair of assists.
The Tiger soccer team will remain home to face McPherson College on Thursday at 8 p.m.
