The Central Community College men's soccer team lost to Allen County (Kan.) Community College, 2-0, on Wednesday at Raider field.
Allen County's Jordan Mase scored both goals. The first came in the 37th minute off the assist of Payge Sinclair for a 1-0 lead. Mase's second score came in the 68th minute when he teamed up with Tiago Troyano for what turned out to be a 2-0 final.
CCC goalies Antonio Jimenez and Hamilson Vicente split time in goal for the Raiders, facing five shots on goal and collecting three saves.
"It was a really back and forth game where both teams had scoring opportunities and we just weren't able to put any in the net," said CCC head coach Hawken Hann. "We definitely showed that we can play with the best teams and now, we just have to get the finishing touches."
The loss gives the Raiders a 4-6 mark on the season.
The Raiders will travel to Southeast Community College on Saturday for a 4 p.m. contest with the Storm. SCC defeated CCC at Raider Field, 4-0, on April 14.
