Cowley hosts small Heptathlon/Decathlon; Tigers place in top-five at Bethel Invite
Hosting the Tiger Heptathlon/Decathlon March 31-April 1 in Arkansas City, the nationally ranked Cowley College men and women’s track and field teams were well represented. Although their were not many schools at the meet, Cowley got solid performances from its five athletes that competed.

Sophomore Jack Mull led the Tiger men by placing first in the decathlon with 5,667 points. Kolby Caster placed second with 5,316 points, while Caleb Reichenberger (4,418 points) and Micaleb Campbell (3,498 points) finished third and fourth, respectively.
On the women's side, sophomore Channa Hines placed second in the heptathlon with 2,101 points. Hines placed behind Northwest Oklahoma State University's Gina Wilson (3,117 points).
Cowley athletes then competed at the Loren Reusser Bethel College Invite on Saturday. The Tigers posted several personal best performances at the meet as the Lady Tigers finished second out of 16 teams and the Cowley men placed fourth out of 18 squads. The Butler women placed first as a team, while Indian Hills Community College was the top placing men's squad.
Sophomore Lubna Suied won the women's 1,500-meter run, while Kassidy Blann placed first in the pole vault. The Tiger men were led by Adrian Diaz-Lopez placing first in the 1,500-meter run.
The Tiger track and field teams will now prepare to compete at the Friends University Open April 9-10. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. Friday and resume at 11 a.m. Saturday.
