Ivan Lopez (pictured) scored both goals in a 2-0 CCC win over Hesston (Kan.) College on Saturday night.
Lopez scored the first goal in the 35th minute off the assist of Mumin Aden for a 1-0 lead, which held through halftime. Lopez teamed up with Jesus Jimenez in the 70th minute for his second goal and the Raiders held on for the 2-0 win.
The CCC defense limited the HC offense to one shot on goal and netminder Antonio Jimenez got the save.
"I am proud of the boys as it was probably our best 90 minutes of the season," said CCC head coach Hawken Hanna. "We were finally able to show off our ability with the ball and compete hard for all 90 minutes. It was a good step forward as we look to finish the regular season on a positive note."
With the win, the Raiders sport a record of 4-5.
On Wednesday, CCC will host Allen County Community College at 1 p.m. The Red Devils defeated the Raiders, 1-0, earlier this month in Iola, Kan.
