KJCCC Baseball East Division Players of the Week - Week 11
COLBY, Kan. – Leading Johnson County to a conference series sweep of Neosho County with three run-rule victories, Cavalier catcher Miken Miller and pitcher Sam Novotny have each earned Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference East Division Baseball Player of the Week accolades for Week 11 of the 2025 season.
Miken Miller – Johnson County (KJCCC Baseball East Division Player of the Week)
Johnson County's Miken Miller had a big week at the plate for the Cavaliers to help lead JCCC to a four-game sweep of Neosho County. The sophomore catcher hit .533 (8-for-15) with two doubles, three home runs, eight runs scored, and 12 RBI as the Cavaliers remain tied for first in the KJCCC East Division race. Miller opened the series with a triple, a home run, three runs scored, and five RBI in a 19-4 win. The Ostego, Minnesota native capped the series with three hits, including a homer, and four RBI in a 16-6 win.
Sam Novotny – Johnson County (KJCCC Baseball East Division Pitcher of the Week)
Johnson County pitcher Sam Novotny hurled seven innings of shutout ball to earn a complete-game 11-0 victory at Neosho County last week. He scattered four hits and struck out eight batters, his second-highest game total this season. Novotny is now 7-1 with 51 strikeouts. His seven wins tie for the most in the KJCCC while ranking fifth in strikeouts.
