KJCCC Baseball West Division Players of the Week - Week 10
COLBY, Kan. – Riding a seven-game winning streak following a 5-0 week last week, Barton Community College has reclaimed the top spot in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Baseball West Division standings after being led by this week’s KJCCC Baseball West Division Players of the Week Ayden Hadley and Anthony Treto.
Ayden Hadley – Barton (KJCCC Baseball West Division Player of the Week) Ayden Hadley was the offensive catalyst this past week for the Cougars, producing a hit and multiple RBI in all five games to lead Barton to a perfect 5-0 week. Batting .476 in his 21 at-bats, Hadley collected 10 hits with eight going for extra bases and drew four walks for a .577 on-base percentage. The sophomore drove in 17 RBI, which included a pair of five RBI performances in games two and three of a four-game series with Colby in addition to scoring nine times and swiping a pair of bases.
Anthony Treto – Barton (KJCCC Baseball West Division Pitcher of the Week)
Anthony Treto was sensational this week on the mound for the Cougars, tossing a complete-game shutout on five hits with a new career high 10 strikeouts to improve to 3-2 on the season. The righty from Brighton, Colorado, worked four one-two-three frames while also inducing a pair of twin-killing double plays to help keep the sheet clean.
