Cowley, Johnson County, Move Up In Latest NJCAA Baseball Rankings
NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Week 6 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – With Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools reaching the midway point of the conference season, three league schools continue to garner national recognition by being ranked in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Baseball top 25 poll released on Monday, March 31st.
After having four teams ranked or receiving votes last week, the conference continues to have multiple teams in the rankings with three teams in the week six poll led by Cowley College who moves up two spots to third. The highest ranking of the season for the Tigers, Cowley has won six of their past seven games and is the KJCCC East Division co-leader with Johnson County with a 23-6 overall record. One of the week's biggest movers in the poll, Johnson County is up four spots to number 12 this week following a 3-1 series win over Kansas City Kansas last weekend to improve to 25-10 overall. Receiving votes this week after being ranked last week is Barton Community College with the Cougars currently in second place in the KJCCC West Division with a 12-4 mark in league play and a 20-8 overall record after playing six games last week and going 3-3 with a doubleheader split against Rose State and four-game series split with Butler.
