Three From KJCCC Remain Ranked In Latest NJCAA Baseball Poll
NJCAA Division 1 Baseball Week 7 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – One-spot drops for two Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference schools and a jump back into the latest NJCAA Division 1 Baseball top 25 poll for a third highlight the latest NJCAA rankings released by the NJCAA national office on Monday, April 7th.
All three teams ranked this week were also represented in last week’s poll, with the KJCCC continuing to have one team ranked in the top five of the rankings and all three teams currently atop their respective divisions of the conference standings.
Dropping one spot down to fourth, Cowley remains inside the top five of the poll after going 2-1 last week with a pair of wins over Fort Scott to bounce back from a mid-week loss to Barton. The Tigers hold a 25-7 overall record and a 14-4 mark in the KJCCC, with only two of their losses coming by more than two runs. Also dropping one spot from 12th down to 13th was Johnson County as the Cavaliers swept a four-game series against Labette in conference play to improve to 29-10 overall and 16-4 in the KJCCC. Back into the rankings after receiving votes last week is Barton, as the Cougars picked up five wins last week, which included a win over Cowley along with a four-game series sweep over Colby Community College to reclaim their spot atop the KJCCC west division standings with a 25-8 overall record and the number 24 national ranking.
