KJCCC Kansas MTXE Mens Soccer Athletes of the Week, Week 10, 2017

Luciano Trasolini stood guard in each of Barton's three games last week helping the Cougars advance to the upcoming Plains District Semifinals.   Securing Barton's seventh shutout of the season with a 4-0 win at NW Kansas Tech to wrap up the regular season, Trasolini and the Cougar defense faced a 35mph second half wind in prevailing for a 5-4 win Thursday in first round playoff action against Cowley.  Most recently Trasolini turned back six of seven shots on Sunday for a 2-1 double overtime victory at Neosho County advancing Barton to the Plains District Semifinals in Topeka.

Benjamin Zamora had a "game winning" week accounting for each of Barton game clinching goals helping the Cougars to three wins including two coming in the opening rounds of the Region VI playoffs.  Zamora set up Monday's season finale game winning goal at NW Kansas Tech before netting the winner in Thursday's Region VI first round game against Cowley College.  Most recently Zamora made the biggest play of the week outdueling a Panther for a long ball before sending a through ball leading to the second round game winner at Neosho County advancing Barton to the Plains District Semifinals in Topeka.
