Player of the Week: Lucas Constante - Barton
Lucas Constante had a stellar offensive week finding the back of the net twice helping Barton to a perfect 2-0 week. Scoreless for over 86-minutes, Constante found himself in the right spot at the right time Wednesday banging home Tajay Grant's rebound shot securing the Cougars 1-0 upset over No. 3 Cowley. Trailing 2-1 with 14-minutes to play, Constante supplied his second clutch goal of the week providing the equalizer off a corner kick in Barton's comeback 3-2 OT victory at Neosho County.
Goalkeeper of the Week: Brandon McGaugh – Johnson County
Johnson County sophomore goalkeeper Brandon McGaugh stopped all six shots he faced to help preserve a 1-0 shutout over Kansas City Kansas last week. It was McGaugh's third straight shutout win and fifth of his career. McGaugh currently ranks second in the KJCCC in saves (36), save percentage (.818) and is fourth in goals against average (1.09).
