Player of the Week: Juan Ballesta – Dodge City
Dodge City continued their strong season picking up a pair of KJCCC wins over Garden City and KCK to improve to 8-2 on the season matching last season's win total. Juan Ballesta doubled his goal output on the season in one game as he tallied two goals on his two shots in a road win over KCK. On the season Ballesta has four goals on 16 shots and also has a pair of assists.
Co-Goalkeeper of the Week: Cole Stewart – Johnson County & Eric Zalaya – Dodge City
Johnson County sophomore goalkeeper Cole Stewart saved seven of the eight shots he faced last week to help preserve a 3-1 home victory over Neosho County. Stewart currently ranks third in the KJCCC in goals against average (0.75) and second in save percentage (.864).
Dodge City continued their strong season picking up a pair of KJCCC wins over Garden City and KCK to improve to 8-2 on the season matching last season's win total. Eric Zalaya continued to be stout in goal for the Conquistadors with his defense in front of him helping stymie the Conqs opponents last week. Zalaya recorded four saves in the win over Garden City and picked up wins in goal in both the Conqs matches. On the season Zalaya has started nine matches and has a 7-2 record with 31 saves and a 73.8% save percentage.
