2024 KJCCC Division 1 Men's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 3
COLBY, Kan. – Barton Community College forward Maxence Voinier and Seward County Community College goalkeeper Bruno Mestres have each earned their third Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Men’s Soccer Players of the Week honors following week three of the 2024 season.
COLBY, Kan. – Barton Community College forward Maxence Voinier and Seward County Community College goalkeeper Bruno Mestres have each earned their third Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Men’s Soccer Players of the Week honors following week three of the 2024 season.
Maxence Voinier (Barton) –Voinier once again played a role for the number six ranked Cougars as he extended his points streak to six straight games. Despite having his five-game goal streak snapped, the sophomore forward provided the icing on the cake in the Cougars 2-0 victory over Coffeyville setting up Arthur Onofre's collegiate first goal in Barton’s lone game of the week.
Bruno Mestres (Seward County) – Mestres was a true leader on defense for the Saints this past week with 16 saves over the course of two games including 10 in a 1-1 draw with number three Cowley before adding six more in a scoreless tie with Garden City. Mestres currently ranks sixth in the NJCAA in total saves to go with one of the best save percentages in the country at .939 through five games.
