COLBY, Kan. – For a second-straight week the Johnson County men’s soccer team swept Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Men’s Soccer Players of the Week honors with winners Jordan Gaona and Brody Macoubrie bringing home week six awards.  

Jordan Gaona (Johnson County) – Sophomore midfielder Jordan Gaona propelled the eighth-ranked Cavaliers to a 1-0 victory over Southeast last week firing a shot through the defense into the back of the net off a rebound in the 78th minute to break a scoreless tie. It was Gaona's first goal of his career.

Brody Macoubrie (Johnson County) – Macoubrie stopped all four shots he faced to help Johnson County to a 1-0 victory over Southeast in the lone action of the week for the Cavaliers last week. It was his first shutout of the season and fourth of his career. With the shutout, Macoubrie lowered his GAA to 1.50 on the season, third-best in the KJCCC.
