Three KJCCC Soccer Teams Ranked In Top 10 Of Final NJCAA Men's Soccer Rankings Of Regular Season
CHARLOTTE, NC – A two spot jump for Cowley Community College in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer rankings has all three Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference men’s soccer schools that are represented in the latest national rankings inside the top 10 of the final NJCAA Division 1 and 2 Men’s Soccer top 20 polls of the regular season released on Monday, October 28th.

CHARLOTTE, NC – A two spot jump for Cowley Community College in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer rankings has all three Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference men’s soccer schools that are represented in the latest national rankings inside the top 10 of the final NJCAA Division 1 and 2 Men’s Soccer top 20 polls of the regular season released on Monday, October 28th.
In addition to the two-spot climb for Cowley, no changes were seen for the KJCCC in the latest NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer top 20 poll as Neosho County and Johnson County both hold down their previous week’s rankings of fifth and eighth, respectively.
The Tigers had already clinched the KJCCC Division 1 men’s soccer regular season crown but went on to earn a 2-1 home win over Kansas City Kansas to conclude their regular season with an 11-1-3 overall record and 6-1-1 mark in the KJCCC. Neosho County picked up a 7-1 win at Hesston to conclude conference play before taking on number 15 ranked Heartland Community College in non-conference action as the Panthers picked up a 3-1 win to end the regular season 14-1-2 overall while Johnson County earned an 8-1 road win at Pratt and 2-0 win at Southeast Community College to finish their regular season with a 13-3-0 record.
With the 2024 regular season complete, postseason play will begin later this week with the 2024 NJCAA Region 6/9 Tournament as the top four finishing teams in the NJCAA Region 6/9 soccer standings will take part in a single-elimination tournament. The tournament will begin on Thursday, October 31st with top-seeded Neosho County hosting Pratt a 5 PM while two seed Johnson County will host Central Community College in a 7 PM matchup as the two advancing teams will face off at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, November 2nd. The winner of the NJCAA Region 6/9 Tournament will advance to the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer Plains District Tournament Championship game and host the winner of the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer Region 11/13 Tournament on Saturday, November 9th for an automatic berth into the NJCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer National Tournament.
