KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Indoor Week 1

Indoor track and field season is underway and KJCCC teams are already in competition. Our first KJCCC Track & Field Indoor Athletes of the Week awards go to a pair of Northwest Kansas Tech Mavericks as Shamar Levenstone earns the award on the track and Latavious Stewart earns the award in the field events.
MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Shamar Levenstone (Northwest Kansas Tech) - Competed at the Friends University first chance qualifier posting a time of 8.38 in the 60 meter hurdles just shy of the standard, along with being a PR and school record.
MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Latavious Stewart (Northwest Kansas Tech) - Competed at the Friends University First Chance Qualifier posting a mark of 7.12m in Long Jump. He set a new personal record, along with a new school record and a national qualifying mark.
