KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week – Outdoor Week 3

Outdoor track and field season continues and the week three of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded. 

MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Shawn Brown (Butler) – He ran the fastest time in the 100-meter dash in the nation at all levels (NCAA/NJCAA/NAIA) posting a time of 10.04 (wind legal). The time won him the event at the Friends Spring Invite while he was also part the first place 4x100-meter relay team for Butler at the meet. 

MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Trevor Gunzell (Coffeyville) – He smashed the Coffeyville school record in the discus by over five meters with a throw of 59.26 meters which also won him the Section B competition at the Texas Relays beating out several NCAA DI throwers. He currently is ranked #1 in the NJCAA.
