KJCCC Men's Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Outdoor Week 6
Outdoor track and field season is underway and our week six of KJCCC Athletes of the Week honors have been awarded.
MEN'S TRACK Athlete of the Week
Kamogelo Thipe (Cloud County) – He took fourth at the KU Relays in the 800 meter run with a time of 1:51.19 and was second among college atheltes in the event. He also was part of the 4x800 meter relay team that posted a time of 7:45.12 to qualify for Nationals.
MEN'S FIELD Athlete of the Week
Julien Washington (Cowley) – He had a personal best throw of 56.06 meters in the hammer throw and won the event at Tabor. Also three a personal best in the javelin.
