NJCAA Division 1 Softball Week 10 Poll | NJCAA Division 2 Softball Week 10 Poll
CHARLOTTE, NC – Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Softball regular season co-champions Butler Community College and Hutchinson Community College once again represent the conference in the latest NJCAA Division 1 Softball top 25 poll while four conference schools continue to shuffle around in the latest NJCAA Division 2 Softball top 25 poll released on Monday, April 28th.
In addition to having no changes for KJCCC schools in the latest Division 1 poll, the Division 2 top 25 poll brings changes for all four conference teams ranked this week with three of the four teams moving up in the latest rankings while seeing one team slip one spot to account for one of the moves up the rankings. After securing a KJCCC Division 1 Softball regular season co-championship with a sweep of Pratt last Saturday, Butler Community College remains ranked 16th in the latest poll while entering postseason play with a 38-6 overall record. Co-Champions Hutchinson Community College is once again among those receiving votes as the Blue Dragons enter this weekend’s NJCAA Region 6 Division 1 Softball Tournament as defending Tournament Champions with a 35-9 overall record.
Ahead of an important KJCCC doubleheader Monday afternoon in Chanute, KJCCC Division 2 leading Neosho County Community College picks up another spot in the rankings to move up to 16th after going 4-0 last week with doubleheader sweeps of Johnson County and Highland as the Panthers could clinch an outright KJCCC Division 2 regular season title with a home sweep of Cowley on Monday. The Tigers, meanwhile are up into the rankings after receiving votes last week as Cowley sports a 34-12 overall record following a 3-1 week last week with a home split against Allen and road sweep of Kansas City Kansas. KCKCC is up one spot this week up to number 21 as the Blue Devils picked up two road wins over Labette before dropping a pair of games to Cowley last week while Johnson County is ranked number 22 after a busy six-game week last week that saw the Cavaliers go 4-2 with road sweeps of Highland and Allen.
