Sophomore Kalani Purcell big week included her 15th double-double of the season and a pair of free throws in the final seconds that helped No. 1 Hutchinson to its biggest victory of the season at No. 6 Seward County. For the week, Purcell averaged 22.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, 4.5 steals, 3.5 assists and 2.0 blocked shots per game in wins over Seward County and Dodge City.

Against No. 6 Seward County, Kurcell had 21 points and 16 rebounds with five assists, four steals and four blocks. Purcell then hit the game-tying and go-ahead free throws with 3.9 seconds remaining to give HCC a 62-61 victory over the Saints.

Against Dodge City, Purcell hit 10 of 13 shots and had five steals in a lopsided win over Dodge City
