KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week, Week 12, 2015-16
Butler Sophomore guard Tamara Lee averaged 21.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and connected on 57% (12-21) of her field goals for the week against Allen and Pratt. Lee also connected on 44% (4-9) of her 3-point field goal attempts as well as going 14-15 (93%) from the free throw line. The Grizzlies went 2-0 this past week and have won four straight in conference play. For the season, Lee is averaging 12.9 points per game while shooting 42.3% from 3-point range for Butler.
Freshman Szonja Vukov, Highland, had her 12th double-double of the season as she scored 21 points and had 14 rebounds in an 83-49 road win over Hesston college. Vukov also contributed 5 assists, 6 steals and 2 blocks to lead the Highland Scotties to a school record 18th consecutive win.
