Hutchinson Community College freshman guard Mya Williams, the Jayhawk Conference's leading scorer averaged 21 points per game in leading the Blue Dragons to victories over Barton and Cowley last week. The Waxahachie, Texas, freshman scored 27 points in a key 84-74 road victory on Saturday at Cowley, which tied for her second-highest single-game scoring output of the season. Williams was 6 of 12 shooting with three 3-point goals. She also had a career-high 12 free throws in 15 attempts against the Tigers.
