KJCCC DI Women's Basketball Player of the Week - Week 12
Freddie Wallace, the Butler Grizzlies 6'3 freshman forward from Lincoln, Nebraska, continued her recent stretch of dominance this past week in the Grizzlies wins over rivals Coffeyville and Hutchinson. Against Coffeyville on Wednesday, Freddie scored a new collegiate career best of 31 points while also pulling seven rebounds in the Grizzlies victory over the Red Ravens. Against Hutchinson on Saturday, Wallace again put up another impressive scoring effort, scoring 24 points including 12 in the first quarter that gave the Grizzlies an early lead that they would never relinquish. Freddie posted her best of the season so far averaging 27.5 points and 7 rebounds while shooting over 60% from the field. Wallace is Grizzlies leading scorer and rebounder on the year and the Butler Women have now won ten straight games.
