2025-26 KJCCC Women's Basketball Players of the Week - Week 1
COLBY, Kan. – 2-0 weekends to start the 2025-26 season for the Garden City Community College and Johnson County Community College women’s basketball teams have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors for Broncbuster Sokhna Ndiaye and Cavalier Jade Warren.
Sokhna Ndiaye – Garden City (KJCCC Division 1 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Sokhna Ndiaye helped lead the Broncbusters to a 2-0 week with standout performances on both ends of the floor. Ndiaye totaled 56 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 steals, averaging 27.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.0 steals per game. The freshman shot an impressive 66.3percent from the field and 55.5 percent from three-point range, showcasing her efficiency and versatility while setting the tone with stellar offense and gritty defense.
Jade Warren – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Basketball Player of the Week)
Johnson County freshman Jade Warren got her collegiate career off to a strong start over the weekend, averaging 15.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists while connecting on an impressive 85.7 percent of her shot attempts to help lead JCCC to a pair of victories. In a 70-65 win over NJCAA Division I Murray State College, Warren went six-of-seven from the field and three-of-four from the line for 15 points, while also contributing five rebounds, two assists, and a block. A day later, in a 99-61 romp over Central Community College, Warren matched her offensive output from the previous day by scoring 15 points on six-of-seven shooting and three-of-four free throws, while adding one rebound and three assists.
