KJCCC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week, Wk. 11

Sandra Thiman continues to anchor the top defensive team in Region VI from the center back position. Thiman leads the Grizzlies and their 0.72 GAA with 12 shutouts. The Grizzlies and Thiman picked up sutouts number 11 and 12 with a pair of victories in Cleburne, TX during the NJCAA Plains District Championships. In the semi-final match with Rose State, the Grizzlies won 5-0, Thiman was able to record her sixth goal of the season. Thiman then led the Grizzlies defense to an impressive 2-0 win over Hill College to see the Grizzlies advance to the program's seventh NJCAA National Tournament in the past eight years. Thiman and the Grizzlies have currently recorded five consecutive shutouts and not conceded a goal since a 5-1 victory over Kansas City back on October 18.

Bethany Reeves recorded her 11th and 12th shutouts of the season as the Grizzlies marched to the NJCAA Plains District Championship in Cleburne, TX this past weekend. Reeves helped the Grizzlies to a 5-0 win over Rose State and a 2-0 victory #18 Hill College. Reeves recorded five saves on all five shots she faced. Her record in now 18-4-0 with a 0.82 GAA
