Week 5 - Division I KJCCC Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week
Player: Kenzee Godwin (Butler)
Kenzee Godwin found her stride this past week as she recorded 3 goals and 3 assists in the Grizzlies’ two victories. Godwin scored a goal and added two assists in Butler’s 10-0 on the road at Neosho County. Godwin followed that up with two goals and an assist in an 8-0 over Dodge City on Saturday. Godwin had the game winning goal in the 12th minute against the Conquistadors. Godwin’s season totals are now three goals and four assists for ten points, good for fourth on the team.

Goalkeeper: Vickie Foster (Dodge City)
Dodge City fought hard against top flight competition in the KJCCC last week but suffered a pair of losses to Barton and Butler on the road. With only 15 players on the roster the Conqs have been pressured all season and have seen their opponents garner more offensive opportunities and sophomore goalkeeper, Vickie Foster has been solid in the goal facing a myriad of shots on the regular. Foster in the loss to Barton recorded 11 saves with a 78.5% save percentage and against Butler had 12 saves with a 75% save percentage. Foster on the year has 38 saves in four matches which is tied for fourth in the KJCCC and tied for 12th in the Nation.
