2025 All-KJCCC/NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 Women’s Soccer Selections
COLBY, Kan. – The 2025 Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference/NJCAA Region 6 Division 2 postseason women’s soccer selections are led by Coach of the Year Jim Schwab of Johnson County, with Cavalier sophomores Brecken Hoy and Ashley Chaput named Offensive and Defensive Player of the Year.
Jim Schwab – Johnson County (KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Soccer Coach of the Year)
Coach Schwab led Johnson County to a third-straight KJCCC regular season title, along with an NJCAA Region 6/9 postseason tournament title, as the Cavaliers will head to Spencer, Iowa, to take on Iowa Lakes Community College in the NJCAA Division 2 North Plains District Tournament Title game on Friday afternoon. The Cavaliers are the only unbeaten team in NJCAA Division 2 women’s soccer this season after finishing the regular season with an 18-0-0 record and are currently ranked number one in the NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Soccer top 20 poll. JCCC has finished as NJCAA Division 2 National Runners-Up in each of the past two seasons and finished conference play with a perfect 10-0-0 record while outscoring conference foes 34-2.
Brecken Hoy – Johnson County (KJKCCC Division 2 Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Year)
The 2025 KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Soccer leader in assists and total points, Brecken Hoy helped orchestrate a Johnson County offense that averaged 4.7 goals per contest and put up nearly 25 shots per game across their 20 matches this season. Hoy led the conference with 20 assists and 48 points while ranking second in the KJCCC with 14 goals. The sophomore tallied 74 total shots this season while leading the conference with seven game-winning goals. Named the KJCCC Division 2 Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week during week four of the season, Hoy leads NJCAA Division 2 women’s soccer in assists, ranks second nationally in game-winning goals, 14th nationally in total points, and 27th nationally in goals scored.
Ashley Chaput – Johnson County (KJKCCC Division 2 Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Year)
One of five Cavalier players to appear in and start all 20 matches this season, Ashley Chaput has helped anchor a Johnson County back line that has allowed just four goals the entire season while winning 16 of their 20 games by shutout. Of the four goals conceded by Johnson County this season, no team has been able to score more than one goal against JCCC, which includes the last seven matches being won by shutout. As a team, Johnson County ranks first in the NJCAA in goals allowed (4) and goals against average (0.20) among the 107 teams in NJCAA Division 2 this season.
