2025 KJCCC D1 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 5
COLBY, Kan. – Key performances from Barton Community College forward Katie Potter and Garden City Community College goalkeeper Isabelle Barsk have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week honors for week five of the 2025 season.
Katie Potter (Barton) – KJCCC D1 Women’s Soccer Player of the Week
Sophomore Katie Potter played a key role in Barton's perfect 3-0 week, which included an upset victory over number 20 Garden City to get the Cougars back over .500 on the year. Potter totaled three goals and two assists for eight points, highlighted by a two-goal, one-assist outing in a 5-1 road win at Lamar. The sophomore added another goal in Barton's 3-0 shutout at Dodge City and set up a score in the win over Garden City. For the week, Potter had a .429 shooting percentage and .857 mark for shots on goal, while seeing one of her goals against Lamar serve as the game-winner.
Isabelle Barsk (Garden City) – KJCCC D1 Women’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week
Freshman goalkeeper Isabelle Barsk became the second Garden City goalkeeper to earn Goalie of the Week honors after anchoring the Broncbuster’s defense in a scoreless draw against number eight Cowley in a battle of the top two teams in the KJCCC standings last Saturday. Barsk recorded nine saves, turning away multiple quality chances to preserve GCCC’s seventh shutout of the season.
