KJCCC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week - Week 4
COLBY, Kan. – Top times and high marks from Cloud County’s Maimouna Jallow and Cowley College sophomore Dakota Dapper at the Friends University Spring Invitational last week have led to Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week accolades for week four of the outdoor season.
Maimuna Jallow (Cloud County) – KJCCC Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Jallow set the Cloud County outdoor track and field record and the Friends University Spring Invitational meet record in the 100-meter dash by running a time of 11.53 seconds. The time won the event and qualified Jallow for the NJCAA Division 1 Outdoor Track and Field Championships with the sixth-fastest time in the NJCAA this season.
Dakota Dapper (Cowley) – KJCCC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week
Dapper picks up her second-straight KJCCC Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week honors after tying the second-best mark in the pole vault in Cowley program history by clearing 3.65 meters (11 feet – 11.75 inches). The mark took third at the Friends University Spring Invitational, trailing only an unattached athlete and an NJCAA Division 1 All-American from Wichita State University.
