Allen's Audrey Peek Named NJCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – For the first time in four weeks, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week has added national honors with Allen’s Audrey Peek being named NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 30th.
CHARLOTTE, NC – For the first time in four weeks, the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week has added national honors with Allen’s Audrey Peek being named NJCAA Division 2 Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 30th.
Audrey Peek – Allen (NJCAA Division 2 Defensive Player of the Week)
Peek tallied 120 digs and averaged 6.00 digs per set over the course of five matches last week as the Red Devils went 3-2 with losses to a pair of teams that are currently ranked in the NJCAA D2 Volleyball Top 25 poll. This season, Peek leads KJCCC D2 volleyball and ranks fifth in NJCAA D2 volleyball in digs per set (6.10) along and total digs (702).
Peek becomes the fifth different KJCCC Division 2 volleyball player this season to earn NJCAA Division Volleyball National Player of the Week honors, joining defensive honoree Jessi Ritchhart of Cowley along with offensive award winners Laura Bonomi (Cowley), Hanna Darvas (Cowley), and Taylin Stallbaumer (Johnson County.
