Cowley's Hanna Darvas Named NJCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week
CHARLOTTE, NC – After being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Setter of the Week on Tuesday, Cowley Community College setter Hanna Darvas has been named the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her performances after helping the top-ranked Tigers go 5-0 last week.
CHARLOTTE, NC – After being named the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 2 Volleyball Setter of the Week on Tuesday, Cowley Community College setter Hanna Darvas has been named the NJCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week for her performances after helping the top-ranked Tigers go 5-0 last week.
(Hanna Darvas – Cowley (NJCAA Division 2 Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week) Darvas recorded her first career double-double against conference foe Allen County with 51 assists and 15 digs while registering 14 kills on the week in addition to her 174 assists at 11.60 assists per set. Leading all NJCAA Division 2 volleyball in assists per set, Darvas leads a Cowley offense that is averaging 14.11 kills per set and a hitting percentage of .387 - both of which are tops in NJCAA Division 2. Cowley also leads the nation in assists per set at 13.54 and total points per set at 18.7.
Darvas is the first player from the KJCCC to earn NJCAA Division 2 Women's Volleyball Player of the Week honors this season.
